Presidential Nominations: Little Progress Has Been Made

The Washington Post publishes a Head Count online that tracks President Obama's nominations. As of early July, the President has still not even reached the halfway point in the nomination process. 26.9% of the positions have been confirmed. When you factor in open positions where a someone has been formally nominated or at least announced that a nomination is forthcoming, then he makes it to a whopping 39.3%. Is the President trying to do too much? He certainly doesn't seem to have time to focus on the nitty gritty of governing.
